TIP #1 – ADDRESS COMMON COMPLAINTS IN YOUR MARKETING

It’s important to address your client’s complaints in your marketing. The top complaints are associated with price, communication, reputation, and integrity.

TIP #2 – START A BLOG ANSWERING FAQs

Having a blog builds authority in both your industry/community and on Google. Add a blog page to your website and let each post address a different concern the potential customer may have. You’d be surprised how much reading a prospect will do to determine whether your business is trustworthy and reputable.

TIP #3 – USE YOUR BLOG TO RANK FOR KEYWORDS

You must use that blog to rank for the keywords relevant to your business. Be sure to list them only once or twice in a 1200 word blog post. Also make sure the title of the blog post has the keyword or phrase, and try to post weekly if you can.

TIP #4 – ADDRESS FEARS IN YOUR MARKETING

Call out your prospect’s fears in the beginning. Many business owners avoid discussing the negative points, but it is better to put your customers at ease early on – especially if you get the same question a lot. Most fears are irrational and your prospect can be reassured easily.

TIP #5 – ADDRESS OBJECTIONS IN YOUR MARKETING

As I mentioned before, it is very important to address your prospect’s fears and complaints in your marketing. Along with their pre-purchase concerns, you want to address any objections they may have after negotiations such as: price objections, time to complete job, or terrain restrictions. The three most common objections are that the prospect is already working with a competitor, the service is too expensive, or the prospect needs time to “think about it.”

TIP #6 – ADD A GOOGLE MAP EMBED TO YOUR HOMEPAGE

Google map embeds help with ranking in the “map pack” which are the first 3 businesses listed by address when customers search local listings. By having a map embed, you’re increasing the chances of your business showing up in both the search results and the map pack for local listings. The more relevant your business appears, the more likely hot leads will end up selecting you for their home improvement needs.

TIP #7 – MOBILE OPTIMIZATION

Both mobile optimization and AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) Optimization are extremely important to compete on Google in today’s digital era. Over 72% of consumers are shopping on mobile-friendly devices. I’m sure you know how important it is to remove any barriers or difficulties that may deter a potential lead from purchasing your products or services.
